Refund policy

At StringSchool, we understand that plans can change, and unexpected circumstances can arise. Our refund and credit policy is designed to be fair and flexible, while ensuring we can continue to deliver the highest quality tuition and maintain small class sizes.

StringSchool Cancellation

If a class or course is cancelled by StringSchool, learners will receive a full credit for the cancelled session(s).

Credits are applied directly to the learner’s online StringSchool account and can be used towards any future course or one-to-one lesson.

Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Where a class or course has been fully cancelled by StringSchool and it is impossible to reschedule alternative tuition for a learner, a refund will be offered. This will be usually be remitted via bank transfer within 30 days.

Learner Cancellations and Schedule Changes

If a learner is unable to attend a scheduled class or course:

  • We will always do our best to suggest an alternative option, such as joining a different class, rescheduling to a later date, or arranging one-to-one tuition. However, please note that this cannot always be guaranteed, as class availability and tutor schedules may vary.

  • Refunds are not normally issued once a class or course has commenced, as places and tutor time are allocated in advance.

  • In exceptional circumstances (e.g. medical reasons or long-term unavailability), a partial refund may be approved at our discretion. Refunds will be applied directly to the learner’s online StringSchool account and can be used towards future tuition. 

Catch-Up and Alternative Sessions

Where a learner misses a class, we will always do our best to offer an alternative session, reschedule for a future date, or provide an option for one-to-one tuition at a reduced rate. However, please note that this cannot always be guaranteed, as class availability and tutor schedules may vary.

Payment and Credit Use

Credits can be applied automatically to any future booking made through our website or by contacting our support team. All payments and refunds are processed in GBP (£) and, where applicable, may take several working days to appear on your account once issued.
