Format: Weekly ensemble rehearsals in 10-week terms
Duration: 90 minutes per session
Day (London): Saturdays (exact time to be confirmed)
Location: Central London (venue to be confirmed)

About the Training Ensemble

The Training Ensemble is our stepping-stone group for players who are ready to move beyond individual lessons and classes into regular ensemble playing. Across each 10-week term, you’ll rehearse carefully chosen repertoire, develop your ensemble skills and work towards informal or concert performances.

Who is it for?

This ensemble is designed for adult learners playing at approximately Grade 3–5 level, or who have completed our Beginner and Intermediate Violin Courses (or equivalent study on viola or cello). You should be comfortable reading music and playing confidently in first position, with some experience of shifting helpful but not essential.

What to expect

• Weekly rehearsals focused on building secure ensemble skills
• Guidance on listening across sections, blending sound and keeping time together
• Support with rehearsal techniques so you can make the most of your practice
• Friendly, mixed-part repertoire chosen to be musically rewarding without unnecessary technical pressure
